Furnace repair in Calgary
When your furnace breaks down, it isn't always easy to tell what's wrong. We fix all makes and models, offer 24-hour emergency service, and quote the repair before we make it.

Is your furnace not working?
A few things to try on your own before you call:
Thermostat set to heat
After the warm season, a simple switch can be the cause.
Thermostat batteries
Is anything on the display? If the furnace isn't even trying to start, try new batteries.
A dirty filter
Buildup blocks airflow, can shut your system down, and overworks parts so they fail early. Change filters regularly.
Blocked vents outside
High-efficiency furnaces vent out the side of the home. Ice and snow drifts can block them, and without enough air the furnace overheats and shuts itself off.
Still a problem? Call us at 403-899-0599 and we'll schedule a technician to help.
Smell gas? Leave the house first, then call ATCO’s 24-hour gas emergency line at 1-800-511-3447 or 911.
Repairs for every brand
We fix all brands of furnaces and carry a variety of parts on our trucks. If we don't have a part, we get it without charging additional travel time. As a certified Lennox dealer, we also do warranty work on Lennox systems.
How pricing works
There's a call-out fee for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. It covers the technician's time to find the problem and tell you the cost of the repair, with no hidden charges. After hours and on weekends the call-out fee is higher, because technicians are on overtime and many suppliers are closed.
It's impossible to give a full repair price until a technician has seen the problem. The same part can be hundreds of dollars different from one furnace brand to another, the same way a part for a Honda and a BMW are priced differently.
Even if someone else has already diagnosed it for you, we assess it ourselves. We regularly see issues that were diagnosed incorrectly, so we make sure it's done properly.
- Flat-rate parts. Parts and labour are included in one price, so if the repair takes longer than expected you aren't charged more.
- Covered if a part is faulty. We make sure we leave you with a working furnace.
- Competitive pricing. We're proud of our prices, and we tell you the cost before the repair.
What to expect
We book a two-hour arrival window and call you when we're on the way. The technician diagnoses the furnace, explains the problem in plain terms, and gives you the repair price. If you go ahead, we fix it and test that the system is running properly before we leave.
If repairs aren't worth it on an older furnace, we'll tell you honestly and can give you a free replacement quote. Financing is available for repairs too.
Common questions
Do you repair furnaces after hours and on weekends?
Yes. We offer 24-hour emergency service, 7 days a week. After-hours and weekend call-out fees are higher.
Why should you diagnose it again if someone already did?
We regularly deal with issues that were diagnosed incorrectly, so we assess the furnace ourselves to make sure the repair is done properly.
What if the repair takes longer than expected?
Our parts are flat-rate, with parts and labour included, so you aren't charged more if it takes longer.
Why do you give an arrival window?
We book a two-hour arrival window and call you when we're on the way. Repair and diagnosis times vary from job to job, and we travel all over the city, so traffic, part pickups and a longer repair before yours can affect arrival. We always do our best to keep you updated.
Honest work, said in their words
Calgary homeowners have been calling Flash Furnace for more than 15 years. Here's what they say on Google.
I found Flash Furnace through my community Facebook page and am so thankful I did. My furnace quit working on Sunday and didn't want to risk waiting so called and Aaron was able to come out within a few hours. Thankfully it was a part he had in stock and was able to fix it quickly and efficiently. He was professional, helpful and did not try to pressure me with upsales. For friendly, professional and helpful services, try Flash Furnace, a NW, local, independent company.
