Furnace repair in Rocky Ridge, Calgary
Rocky Ridge is Royal Oak's neighbour in northwest Calgary, right next to our home base. We provide furnace repair, furnace replacement, air conditioning and tune-ups for Rocky Ridge homes.
Homes in Rocky Ridge
Rocky Ridge is bordered by Country Hills Boulevard, Rocky Ridge Road, Crowchild Trail and Twelve Mile Coulee Road. The community is made up of single-family detached homes, each with its own furnace and water tank.
Rocky Ridge was established in 1998, so the oldest homes here are now around 28 years old. If your home still has its original furnace, it's at an age where repairs become more frequent and it's worth weighing repair against replacement. Many homes here have already had a furnace or water tank replaced at least once, and some still have the original equipment.
We'll tell you honestly whether a repair makes sense or whether your money is better spent on a new, properly sized high-efficiency furnace. If replacement is the right call, quotes are free and financing is available.
Problems we see in homes like these
Ignition and flame sensor faults
Furnaces that try to start, then shut off, often have a worn igniter or a dirty flame sensor. These are common, usually quick repairs.
Tired motors
Inducer and blower motors wear out with age. Noises, a burning smell or weak airflow are early signs.
Heat exchanger concerns
Older furnaces are more likely to develop heat exchanger issues, which can let carbon monoxide into the home. A yearly tune-up checks for this.
Adding air conditioning
Many homes from this era were built without AC. We can size an air conditioner to work with your current furnace, or replace both together.

Questions from Rocky Ridge homeowners
Do you provide furnace repair in Rocky Ridge?
Yes. We provide furnace repair, furnace installation, air conditioning and water tank service at homes in Rocky Ridge. Rocky Ridge is right next to our Royal Oak base.
How soon can a technician get to Rocky Ridge?
We book a two-hour arrival window and call you when we're on the way. Repair and diagnosis times vary from job to job, and we travel all over the city, so traffic, part pickups and a longer repair before yours can affect arrival. We always do our best to keep you updated.
For no-heat emergencies we offer 24-hour service, 7 days a week.
How much does a service call cost?
There's a call-out fee for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. It covers the technician's time to find the problem and tell you what the repair will cost, with no hidden charges. After hours and on weekends the call-out fee is higher, because technicians are on overtime and many suppliers are closed. We'll tell you the fee when you book.
We can't give a full repair price until a technician has assessed it, because the same part can cost very different amounts for different furnace brands. Once we know the problem, we quote the repair before doing it. Our parts are flat-rate, so if the job takes longer than expected, you aren't charged more.
Honest work, said in their words
Calgary homeowners have been calling Flash Furnace for more than 15 years. Here's what they say on Google.
I found Flash Furnace through my community Facebook page and am so thankful I did. My furnace quit working on Sunday and didn't want to risk waiting so called and Aaron was able to come out within a few hours. Thankfully it was a part he had in stock and was able to fix it quickly and efficiently. He was professional, helpful and did not try to pressure me with upsales. For friendly, professional and helpful services, try Flash Furnace, a NW, local, independent company.
