Homes in Eau Claire
Eau Claire is a riverside downtown neighbourhood of condominiums, shops and parks.
Much of Eau Claire is apartment and condo buildings, many of which are heated by a central system run by the building. If your home has its own furnace, air conditioner or water tank, as most townhomes, rowhouses and houses do, we can repair, maintain or replace it.
If you live in a condo, check with your property manager about which equipment belongs to your unit, and whether the board needs to approve changes to venting or outdoor units.
Problems we see in homes like these
Furnaces in tight spaces
Townhomes and rowhouses often have the furnace and water tank in a small closet or utility room. Good access matters for safe repairs and replacement.
Keeping cool in summer
Homes in dense neighbourhoods can get hot in summer. If your home has ductwork and its own furnace, we can size an air conditioner to suit it.
Filters and airflow
A clogged filter is one of the most common reasons a furnace overheats and shuts off. Checking it regularly keeps air moving.
Check building rules first
In condos and townhome complexes, changes to venting or outdoor units often need approval from the condo board. It's worth checking before booking a replacement.

Questions from Eau Claire homeowners
Do you provide furnace repair in Eau Claire?
Yes. We provide furnace repair, furnace installation, air conditioning and water tank service at homes in Eau Claire. We're based in Royal Oak NW and travel across the city.
How soon can a technician get to Eau Claire?
We book a two-hour arrival window and call you when we're on the way. Repair and diagnosis times vary from job to job, and we travel all over the city, so traffic, part pickups and a longer repair before yours can affect arrival. We always do our best to keep you updated.
For no-heat emergencies we offer 24-hour service, 7 days a week.
How much does a service call cost?
There's a call-out fee for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. It covers the technician's time to find the problem and tell you what the repair will cost, with no hidden charges. After hours and on weekends the call-out fee is higher, because technicians are on overtime and many suppliers are closed. We'll tell you the fee when you book.
We can't give a full repair price until a technician has assessed it, because the same part can cost very different amounts for different furnace brands. Once we know the problem, we quote the repair before doing it. Our parts are flat-rate, so if the job takes longer than expected, you aren't charged more.
Do you work on furnaces in condos and townhomes?
Yes, when the unit has its own furnace, air conditioner or water tank. Central heating systems that serve a whole building are looked after by the building's management, so check with your property manager if you're not sure which equipment is yours.
Honest work, said in their words
Calgary homeowners have been calling Flash Furnace for more than 15 years. Here's what they say on Google.
I found Flash Furnace through my community Facebook page and am so thankful I did. My furnace quit working on Sunday and didn't want to risk waiting so called and Aaron was able to come out within a few hours. Thankfully it was a part he had in stock and was able to fix it quickly and efficiently. He was professional, helpful and did not try to pressure me with upsales. For friendly, professional and helpful services, try Flash Furnace, a NW, local, independent company.
